Aluva, formerly known as Alwaye, is a town located in Cochin, Ernakulam district, Kerala. It is situated 17.6 km from Ernakulam district. This is the second largest town of Cochin and is popularly known as the industrial hub of Kerala. Aluva was the summer residence of the Travancore royal family and is also well-known for its celebration Sivarathri festival. The town is spread over a total area of 11.28 million Sq.
