The National Highway 117 is the major highway that passes through this district. There are many historical tourist places located in the proximity of the district, including Jashoreswari Kali Temple, Chanda Bhairab Mandir, Five-Doomed Tenga Mosque, Hammankhana, Govinda Dev Temple and Jahajghata Port. Famous landmarks of the district are Kapil Muni Temple, BakKhali & Frasergunj, Sundarbans National Park, Holiday Island, Lothian Island, Narendrapur and Sajnekhali.
